I just uploaded an ad that ran in the Binghamton Press in 1956 announcing the power increase of WENE up 5 kw daytime. There was no mention of night time power but I'm assuming it also was increased directional. I'm not sure where the upload went Jon, so feel free to do with what you want. Thanks...

By 1956, WENE had been at 5,000 watts for several years.

When WENE switched from 1450 to 1430, it increased power from 250 watts non-directional to 5,000 watts directional.

I suspect that WENE became authorized to go non-directional during the daytime in 1956.

I have access to the original WENE licenses, and will try to see if that is correct.
